Bio: Taking to golf at 3, Scheffler was very prolific as a youngster and won more than 75 times against many players, who would go on to play on the PGA Tour. He also won the US Junior Amateur in 2013, before joining college.

He played for University of Texas from 2014 – 2018. After twice qualifying for the US Open as an amateur (low amateur in 2017) he turned pro in 2018.

In 2019, he was the Rookie of the Year on Korn Ferry Tour and made it to the PGA Tour for 2020 as he finished T4 at the PGA.

In August, 2021, he shot 12-under 59 at the Northern Trust. He finished the year as the ‘Rookie of the Year’ on the PGA Tour.

After not winning through 2021, he won his first title in a play-off against Patrick Cantlay at the WM Phoenix Open in February 2022, to start a Golden Year. He won three times more, including at the Masters and at one stage had won four times in six starts. He was also T2 at the US Open.

He became World No. 1 on March 27, 2022 and stayed on top for 30 weeks till October 22, 2022. He also became the PGA Tour’s ‘Player of the Year’ for 2022.

In 2021-2022 he won four times and in 2023 he won twice to take his tally of wins to six. In 2024 he won seven times to more than double it to 13,.
